Céili Dancing

Come visit the Pride of Erin Céili Dancers. We are an adult Irish céili group which teaches traditional Irish folk dances. We meet every Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. in room 204 of the Casa Del Prado building in Balboa Park. All abilities are welcome. If you've never tried Irish céili dancing before, this is your opportunity!

Directions to the Casa del Prado

The Casa Del Prado building is located in Balboa Park behind the Natural History Museum and next to the Junior Theater. Get a map from Yahoo! Maps.

From the north, take 163 south to the Park Blvd. exit and turn left (north) onto Park Blvd. Turn left at the third light onto Village Place Way and into the parking lot.

From the south, take 5 north to the Pershing Dr. exit. From Pershing Drive, turn left onto Florida Drive, then left onto Zoo place, left onto Park Blvd. then turn right onto Village Place Way and into the parking lot.

Every other Wednesday is a special teaching night with instruction by Paul Wermuth, TMRF. Various Irish figure dances and sets are taught for all levels of dancers. If you have questions about learning to Irish dance, check out our FAQ.

Pride of Erin is primarily an adult dancing organization. We do allow and encourage the children of our adult dancers to participate in céili class with their parents' supervision. If you are looking for instruction for only your children there are many excellent Irish dance academies in San Diego.
